In the week preceding the Oscar award ceremonies Feb, 2015 the Director and co-producer of the film Partha S Bhattacharya received a letter from the AMPAS (Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences) library if a script of the movie can be donated for the permanent Core Collection in the Margaret Herrick Library of the Academy. A pamphlet about the Margaret Herrick library was also enclosed. The collections are made accessible for research by film makers, students and writers and materials are not circulated. Photocopying is also not permitted.
An email followed requesting the DVD of the film itself.
The Academy librarian has confirmed in an email that he received the script, DVD, some promo package and that they all are “an excellent collection.”
The Mayor and the Township Council of Livingston honored Partha S Bhattacharya, Director and Co-producer of the film with a citation and a plaque on 18 May, 2015 in a Town hall meeting. The citation said:
The Mayor and Members of the Livingston Township Council proudly honor Livingston resident
Partha S Bhattacharya
In recognition of his film Rabindranath Tagore: The Poet of Eternity. The documentary chronicles the life and work of Tagore, a prolific poet and author, a pioneer in the education and emancipation of women and who was instrumental introducing Bengali and Indian culture to the Western World. The Township commends Partha on this work, which was selected by the American Motion Picture Academy of Arts and Sciences for inclusion in their permanent Core Collection.

UNESCO (Paris) full cultural delegation highly appreciated the film with Mr. Hans d’Orville, Deputy Director General in attendance. Mr. d’Orville spoke to Partha for a few minutes after the film was over about the Einstein-Tagore dialogue and asked to continue the dialogue with his colleagues as he had to leave for a meeting.
The film was screened in New York and Los Angeles for a week and 49 shows in each city in August 2014 in QUAD cinema hall in New York and Laemmle hall in Los Angeles.
The veteran film maker, producer and director Sri Mrinal Sen and family are pleased with the film. They have said it is a very good documentary on the poet.
Sri Soumitra Chattopadhyay, who earlier saw the film at his residence, congratulated on the film’s AMPAS success.
Doordarshan, national TV broadcast organization of India has screened the film gratis in 2 parts on May 09 and 10 and May 18 and 19 in 2015 all over India and 37 countries around the world. The film was also screened at National Archives, under the aegis of Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
Per their letter of November 03, 2015, IRS (Internal Revenue Service-the Supreme Accounting body in the USA) ) has accorded non-profit 501(c3) status to Tagore Einstein center for vision of one world.
